The West Central School Board members held a work session last week to go over some items as they look toward building projects.
Superintendent Dan Zylstra said some larger projects are on the drawing board.
“We want to redo our pool area, and the band and choir room also needs some attention,” explained Zylstra. “We had a construction management firm give a presentation on what their services would be like and how they would work with us on these projects if we decided to work with them.”
Zylstra commented that it was good information for the board to think about in the next few meetings.
Meanwhile, the board updated the Course Description Book.
Zylstra continued, “We approved some changes for next year and the big one was the addition of a Graphic Arts Pathway and the courses that go along with that. We’re going to be offering that to students next year and we’re very excited about adding that program to our many CTE offerings.”
