The public is invited to give comments on the Winamac Park Board’s Five Year Master Parks Plan this week.
The plan is available for view at Winamac Town Hall and it will be available during the Park Board’s special meeting set for Wednesday, April 13 at 5 p.m. ET in the Winamac Utilities Complex at 623 W. 11th Street in Winamac.
Following this hearing, the park board will be able to submit the plan to the DNR for consideration of approval. If the plan is accepted, the town would be eligible to apply for Land and Water Conservation Grants through the DNR for planned projects within the plan. The plan must be submitted to the DNR by Friday, April 15.
