While the cases are not in high numbers as in the past, COVID-19 cases continue to be reported locally.
Starke County Health Nurse Frank Lynch told WKVI News that there were 17 cases in the month of April. He continues to give vaccinations by appointment as well as the booster doses. The Starke County Health Department continues to give childhood immunizations to children who may benefit through Medicaid or who are underinsured or not insured. Pulaski County Health Nurse Andrea Keller said 14 COVID-19 cases were reported in April which were reported by physicians. The Pulaski County Health Department is also busy giving COVID-19 booster shots on Wednesdays to those who qualify. The department also has a large quantity of home COVID-19 testing kits available to Pulaski County residents. Appointments may also be made for childhood immunizations for children who benefit through Medicaid, or who are underinsured or not insured.
