Knox School Board Approves Hire of Middle School Principal

The Knox Community School Board approved the hire of a new Middle School principal Tuesday night.

Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said current principal Jake Skelly will be leaving the position at the end of June.

“He will be leaving us to take a new position in Michigan that will be much closer to his new home,” said Dr. Reichhart.  “In his place, we are hiring a gentleman from Hammond who currently lives in Valparaiso.  His name is Robert Wilson.  Mr. Wilson will be joining us on July 1 to begin his tenure as the new Knox Middle School principal.  We’re very pleased to have Mr. Wilson joining us.”

Dr. Reichhart said Wilson comes from a background of helping kids and improving school performance.

Additionally, Dr. Reichhart said the school board accepted the retirement of Knox Elementary School teacher Maralee Lockridge.
