Those involved in more than 3,000 court programs nationwide are celebrating National Drug Court Month in the month of May.
Pulaski County Superior Court is joining the celebration with many achievements since the implementation of the Pulaski County Veterans Treatment Court. In 2020, the Pulaski County Veterans Treatment Court was the 100th Problem Solving Court to be certified in the State of Indiana.
Court programs provide intensive addiction and therapeutic support to those that enter the court program while providing a high level of accountability. They have shown to be the most impactful and effective means of supporting and treating those with addiction challenges.
Pulaski County Superior Court Judge Crystal Kocher stated in a press release that substance use in Pulaski County continues to rise along with overdose deaths. Programs and resources are being developed locally to provide to all members of the community with treatment or assistance with substance use.
