North Judson Town Council Reviews Updated Quotes for Water Department Projects

The North Judson Town Council members reviewed updated quotes from Peerless Midwest concerning an upcoming Water Department rehabilitation of operations and the rehabilitation of Well #2.

The quotes were for high service pumps, a water treatment filter, high service pump variable frequency drive, and piping for a total cost of about $188,000.  The new pumping equipment at Well #2 is $13,490.

The costs will be paid for out of American Rescue Plan Act funds for the updates.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said the council approved the updated quotes and the use of the American Rescue Plan Act dollars for these projects.  Town Attorney Justin Schramm will working to get that in ordinance form as well as other ideas the council has for the use of those dollars, including meter upgrades and a potential match toward a Community Crossings Grant for a drainage project in 2023.

Rowe noted the council approved the updated quotes and the use of the American Rescue Plan Act dollars for the Water Department projects.  In all, the town is expected to receive close to $390,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds.
