The Oregon-Davis School Board hopes to have a new Junior/Senior High School principal soon.
Superintendent Bill Bennett told the school board members last week that, in all, 13 candidates have submitted applications for the open position and interviews are expected to begin today.
The board hopes to have a candidate in place by the end of June.
The board accepted the resignation of Junior/Senior High School Principal Bettie “BJ” Awald in March. She has served in that capacity since March of 2020, and had been at Oregon-Davis Schools since 1997. Awald will embark as the new Director of Guidance at Plymouth Community School Corporation in mid-summer.
