Knox Community School Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said things are taking shape at the new Vocational Wing on the campus of the Knox High School. He gave an update last week on the construction progress.
“The outside walls are up and they’re working on the interior walls,” explained Dr. Reichhart. “The slab has been poured. It’s kind of neat to be able to walk into that space now and we can see what all those lab spaces are going to look like for our students and it’s pretty exciting as we look at opening that facility up in October.”
The Vocational Wing, which is being constructed off of the east side of the Knox High School facility, will feature an agricultural classroom and lab, a welding classroom and lab, and a robotics classroom and lab.
The project will be paid for from leftover bond money, and federal ESSER II and ESSER III funding, with no impact to taxpayers.
