COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months to age 5 are now available at some Indiana providers.
Due to staggering vaccine delivery dates, the Indiana Department of Health announced Tuesday that parents should visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211 for assistance prior to visiting a vaccine provider to ensure vaccine is available and that no appointment is required.
Shipments of the vaccines will continue to arrive at participating locations this week. Initial sites will include private healthcare providers, local health departments, and some hospitals and pharmacies.
Sites will offer the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for this age group, which received authorization from the FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week.
