The Starke County 4-H Fair continues today at the Starke County 4-H Fairgrounds in Hamlet.
WKVI will be broadcasting live at the fair throughout the week in the afternoon.
Today’s activities include the Grovertown Conservation Club ham and bean dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m., the open class bake sale at 5 p.m., the E.D.I.T.H. Exit Drill in the Home put on by the Starke County Firefighters Association from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the K9 demonstration at 6 p.m., the 4-H Club parade at 6 p.m. and opening ceremonies at 6:15 p.m. The Hoosier Artisans Geodes and Gemstones workshop is at 7 p.m., the pig scramble is at 7:30 p.m., popcorn and a movie is at 8 p.m., and the 4-H Horse and Pony Show is at 8:30 p.m. CT.
An effort is being made to collect non-perishable items for the food pantry. Donations may be dropped off at the Starke County Fair Office to be given to the Community Services of Starke County food pantry. The first 150 donors will receive a free State Fair ticket valued at $14.
