Knox City Council to Consider Funding Feasibility Study for Hotel in Knox

The Knox City Council will consider funding a feasibility study to determine the need for a new hotel in the City of Knox.

Starke County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Lisa Dan explained that the person in charge of development and new construction of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. believes a new 60-room hotel would be a good fit for the area and suggested doing a feasibility study.

The study is estimated to cost $8,000-$10,000 and Dan is waiting to hear what company would be best to conduct that study.  She requested that the Knox City Council or Redevelopment Commission fund a portion of the study. The request may go before Starke County government officials for funding help as well.
