Knox City Police Department Works to Identify Suspect in Rash of Vehicle Break-ins

The Knox City Police Department has identified a suspect allegedly involved in several recent vehicle break-in incidents.

Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith says officers were called to several residences on Henry Drive, Carlson Drive and Evelyn Avenue on Wednesday, June 29 after people reported items stolen from their vehicles parked in various driveways.

Officers worked with the victims, Goshen Police Department and the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department to identify the suspect, 22-year-old Johnathan Sadler of Goshen, according to the report. 

The Starke County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and file possible charges. 

Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
