Starke County Economic Development Foundation, Inc. Executive Assistant Mary Perren has been named as a finalist for a 2022 Northwest Indiana Influential Woman award.
Starke County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Lisa Dan recognized Perren during a recent Knox City Council meeting. She is in the Economic Development/Governing – Up and Coming category.
Perren joins many previous Starke County women as a finalist for the award, including Starke County Community Foundation Director of Development Jacque Ryan, who was the county’s most recent finalist. Starke County has seen winners of these awards.
The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association is a non-profit association in the region that highlights the professional development of women. Its mission focuses on providing opportunities for professional growth through leadership support, education, and networking in a variety of industries. The association supports the continuing advancement of women by bringing together individuals in all areas of business, industry, and community service.
Perren joins 119 other finalists for the award in 12 different industry categories – one up and coming winner and one influential woman. Special awards will be given for empowering businesses, leadership, and individual support. The Influential Women Awards Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, September 29 at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville.
