Oregon-Davis School Board Approves Textbook Rental, Meal Prices

The Oregon-Davis School Board recently approved textbook rental fees for the upcoming school year.

Superintendent Bill Bennett recommended to the board that the textbook rental fees for kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades be $77.00, 3rd grade at $80.00, 4th grade at $85.00, and 5th  and 6th grades at $81.00.

The base fees for 7th grade is $105.00, 8th grade at $110.00, 9th grade at 80.00, 10th grade at $70.00, 11th grade at $40.00, and 12th grade at $20.00.

Bennett explained that fees may change to reflect technology devices, individual student course selections, addition of electives, Advanced Placement courses, or other specialized courses.  The Junior High instructional fees are higher because of more set core classes than the high school classes.

The meal prices have not changed from when the school last charged for meals.  School meals have been free for students the last couple of years due to pandemic measures.

Lunch prices were approved as presented.

The lunch price for K-5 students is $2.45 and for 6th grade it is $2.55. The lunch price for 7th and 8th grade students is $2.55 and $2.65 for students in grades 9-12. The lunch price for adults is $3.40.
