The North Judson Town Council is working with USI Consultants on an application for the next round of Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) funding.
North Judson Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said Mitch Hansel from USI updated the town council on the project which looks to alleviate flooding issues in areas around portions of Sheridan, Laurel and Cherry Streets and a small portion of Wilson Street.
Rowe stated, “Utilizing our American Rescue Plan dollars as the match toward a large CCMG project that concerns road repavement and storm water work has been the plan over the last nine months to a year.”
Rowe said previous numbers regarding the proposed project have risen dramatically due to inflation. The estimated project match for the town is $171,500 which is an increase from $162,750. The match will come from American Rescue Plan Act funds. Rowe said the council does have an opportunity to continue to review the project plans to see if they want to change anything to reduce costs.
