The Town of Winamac is continuing discussions with the Eastern Pulaski School Board concerning the addition of a School Resource Officer.
Winamac Town Manager Brad Zellers said Police Chief Tyler Campbell told the Winamac Town Council last week that the town would pay half of the wage and the school would pay the other half. Both parties agreed to move forward with discussions on the matter.
The officer would likely not start until January 1, 2023.
