Two North Judson Officials Volunteer on Proposed Trail Extension Project, Town Council to Meet Tonight

Two North Judson officials have volunteered to help in the expansion plans of the Erie Trail through the town to the English Lake area.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said he will be working with the Prairie Trails Club in the effort as well as Councilwoman Jane Ellen Felchuk.

In a previous meeting, Steve Lucas and Larry Wickert from the Prairie Trails Club appeared before the North Judson Town Council seeking volunteers to serve on a working group for the proposed trail extension.

The expansion is anticipated to inhabit pieces of property that were part of the recent railroad sale, which Northern Indiana Railroad would deed back to the town if all moves forward.

Discussions concerning that project will be ongoing.

Meanwhile, the North Judson Town Council will meet tonight where they will continue discussions on the town employee handbook and the Town Code update.  Budget forms and capital spending documents will be a matter of discussion tonight as well.

The department heads will also give updates as necessary.

The North Judson Redevelopment Commission meeting will be held at 6 p.m. prior to the regular council meeting at 6:30 p.m. CT.  Both meetings will be held at the North Judson Town Hall at 310 Lane Street.
