A new Starke County Democratic Chairman was recently selected.
The Starke County Election Board members were notified last week that Dennis Estok has taken over the chairman’s duties of the county’s Democratic Party.
Estok has chosen to leave Jeff Houston as the Democratic representative on the Starke County Election Board. He is on the board with Marcia Bedrock who is the Republican representative and board president, along with the clerk who is on the board by virtue of her office.
During last week’s meeting, the board set the date for the public test of voting machines. The event will take place on Monday, September 26 at 10 a.m. CT at the Starke County Courthouse. Four or five machines will be tested with a list of randomly selected machines provided by the state.
