Pulaski County Tribe Receives Grant Funds for Monterey Project

The Pulaski County Tribe organization recently received a $3,500 grant award from the Indiana Arts Commission to go toward a Monterey mural project through the Arts Project Support grant program.

According to Pulaski County Tribe officials, the mural will be the first of its kind in Monterey.  It will be displayed in the downtown area with work to be done by Lafayette artist, Zach Medler. It will celebrate the community’s pride in heritage and home.

A dedication ceremony will be held during the annual Monterey Days Festival Labor Day weekend. More details will be revealed at a later time.

The Pulaski County Tribe’s mission is to communicate, collaborate, and celebrate among all communities in Pulaski County for greater good of residents and guests.  For more information, visit www.pulaskicountytribe.com.
