The Starke County Council members held public hearings Monday afternoon on budgets for Starke County, Starke County Solid Waste, and the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation.
Starke County’s total budget of all funds is $18,720,037 with the County General Fund at $7,757,238. No public comments were presented.
The Starke County Solid Waste District budget was presented at $303,700 with no public comment.
The North Judson-San Pierre School Board total budget was presented at $13,487,615 with no public comment. The school board adopted their budget Tuesday night, but it also has to be formally adopted by the Starke County Council.
The budget adoption date for the Starke County Council is Monday, September 19 at 4 p.m. CT in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox. For public viewing of all budgets, click here.
