Starke County Surveyor Bill Crase has resigned his position and a Caucus has been scheduled to fill the seat.
Starke County Democrat Chairman Dennis Estok invites any interested candidate to file the appropriate paperwork in the Starke County Clerkâs Office for the office of surveyor. The candidate must be a Democrat and reside in Starke County.
A copy of the filing must be provided to Estok no later than 72 hours prior to the caucus at dlestok@embarqmail.com or send to 1307 Evelyn Avenue, Knox, IN 46534.
The caucus is scheduled for Monday, September 12 at 7 p.m. CT at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox.
