City of Knox Finalizes Moose Lodge Demolition

August 2022: Crews clean up remnants of the Knox Moose Lodge

The finalization of the Moose Lodge demolition was discussed at the Knox Board of Public Works meeting last week.

A certificate of completion was accepted by the board as they moved forward in approving the letter of completion, pay out number one, the final completion letter and pay out number 2.

Following the vote, the K-IRPC invoice came in at $12,572 for the grant administration portion. It was announced OCRA got all funds paid back to the City of Knox within six days. A motion was made to approve the K-IRPC invoice and it was unanimously approved.

In other news, during the Knox City Council meeting, the council approved a motion to add a new position at the police department.

Knox Mayor Dennis Estok announced they will be adding a deputy chief to the police department. He added this is a new position for the department. He said this position is officially titled deputy chief/detective. The new position was approved unanimously.
