The Knox Board of Public Works opened bids for the proposed Knox Industrial Park sewer extension project Wednesday morning.
The first bid came in at $62,300 from Hill Excavating. The second bid came in at $83,300 from Haskins Underground, Inc.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok said the bids came in higher than they had previously estimated. He said he would like to look into the project again to make sure they are correct in their previous estimate.
The board took the bids under advisement and plan to discuss options in a future meeting.
