CULVER — Culver Police Department (CPD) Chief Wayne Bean was honored at the Culver Town Council meeting for his 40 faithful years of service.
Culver Town Council President Bill Githens read a Proclamation of Gratitude for Chief Wayne Bean which read:
Whereas, on October 1, 1982, Chief Wayne Bean was hired into the Town of Culver Police Department;
Whereas, Chief Bean has dedicated 40 years of his career to protect the citizens in the Town of Culver;
Whereas, Chief Bean has created positive relationships with the Town of Culver’s leadership over the past four decades and encouraged his team of officers to maintain a department of professionalism and integrity;
Whereas, Chief Bean’s support and commitment to the Town of Culver has aided the town’s successes with obtaining grants and completing projects that benefit the community as a whole;
Whereas, Chief Bean’s commitment to maintain quality emergency services has provided health and safety services for all of Culver’s citizens;
Whereas, Chief Bean’s service to the Culver Community School Corporation and Culver Academies has created stronger partnerships and community pride;
Whereas, Chief Bean has served on Boards and Commissions for the betterment of the Town’s operations and quality of life for its citizens;
Whereas, Chief Bean’s leadership in the Police Department and in the Town of Culver have has provided an example to the officers who have worked for him and to all the employees of the Town; and
Whereas, Chief Bean has served the community of Culver in a manner that makes us proud to call him Chief;
Now, therefore, I, Bill Githens, Culver Town Council President of Culver, Indiana, do hereby proclaim on this day, November 9, 2022, a Proclamation of Gratitude for Chief Bean’s 40 years of service to the Town of Culver.
I urge all citizens of Culver to join me by showing Chief Wayne Bean our heartfelt gratitude. Further, I encourage all citizens to continue the work of our Chief’s example by promoting safety, professionalism, integrity, and leadership in the work they do for the Culver community.
The proclamation was dated the 9th of November and signed by President Githens.
CPD Officer Alex Zarbee, Assistant Chief Chad Becker, and Officer Nick Fobert joined Chief Bean, the council, and meeting participants in a celebration and cake following the meeting.
