The time has come to honor this year’s winner of the Henry F. Schricker Award for service before self.
Donna Henry is this year’s winner of the Henry F. Schricker Award and a ceremony to honor her accomplishments is set for tonight at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox, hosted by the Starke County Chamber of Commerce.
Donna Henry has spent 46 years on the Chamber Board, originally on the North Judson Chamber, and then the integrated Starke County Chamber of Commerce. She is an active member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church. She has performed many services for the church from being a leader of the Alter Guild, a Sunday school teacher and a greeter.
The Mint Festival has been a large part of Donna’s journey of service before self. She has given thousands of hours to the community of Starke County in many ways while always managing to keep her husband Keith and their children first on her mind.
In addition to Donna Henry’s recognition tonight, two other awards will be given to deserving recipients.
The Business of the Year is going to 10-56 Brewing Co. and the Above & Beyond Award winners are The Market and Starke County Northern Indiana Community Foundation.
The doors open tonight for this sold-out event at 5:30 p.m. CT.
