The Pulaski County Council heard an update on the courthouse renovations during their meeting Monday night.
During last week’s commissioners meeting, Pulaski County Community Development Commission (CDC) Executive Director Nathan Origer said the county Assessor, Auditor, Treasurer, and Recorder have agreed to move their offices to the east annex where there has been space made available for them during the upcoming renovations.
During that meeting, Origer said he would be working with them on timelines to make sure it is a smooth transition. He added it will not be done all at once in order to give each department time in relocating their office.
During the county council meeting this week, Origer mentioned the project is taking more time than anticipated. He added it will be mid-January before the second round of drawings arrive from the architects. As of now, Origer explained, it could be June or July of 2023 before the renovations get underway. He said the hope is by early March the project will be up for approval.
