A Pulaski County Republican Party Caucus held last week resulted in a person elected to the position of Pulaski County Coroner.
The caucus was called last Thursday as Republican Jon Frain resigned from the position after being elected as the Pulaski County Coroner in the November General Election. Frain had resigned from the position earlier this year, but his name could not be removed from the General Election ballot as that particular deadline passed at the time of his resignation. An earlier Caucus selected Jennifer Johns to fill the remainder of the term that ends December 31 of this year.
Jennifer Johns was the only candidate who filed for the position and she was elected to fill the vacancy of the Pulaski County Coroner by a vote voice of the eligible Republican Precinct Committeemen present at the caucus.
Johns will begin the four-year term beginning January 1, 2023.
