Firefighters from the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department were called to a fire at a home in the 500 block of Mulberry Street at 6:17 p.m. CT Monday, December 12.
Fire Chief Joe Leszek told WKVI News that the firefighters arrived at the scene within minutes to put out the fire in an upstairs bedroom. Firefighters were able to enter the home and extinguished the fire. They stayed on scene to make sure there were no issues in any surrounding rooms and ceilings.
There were no injuries reported.
Leszek noted that firefighters were at the scene for about an hour.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal conducted an investigation Tuesday to determine the cause of the fire.
