Starke County Highway Superintendent Dan Dipert announced he has hired four new employees during Monday’s commissioner meeting.
Superintendent Dipert said currently they are four drivers short. He went on to say with these new hires by January 2, 2023 the highway department will be fully staffed.
Dipert said they are also currently putting tool boxes on the outside of each truck’s cab. He said this is being done for safety concerns so lose debris isn’t laying within each truck’s cab.
