Wednesday was the first official day candidates could file for office in the 2023 Municipal Election cycle in Knox.
Two candidates filed for Knox City Mayor. Democrat Incumbent Dennis Estok is seeking re-election while Republican Kay Gudeman filed on the Republican Ticket. Democrat Jeff V. Berg filed for Knox City Council in District 3.
The offices open for the 2023 Municipal Election in Knox include mayor, clerk-treasurer and five seats on the Knox City Council.
Candidates have until Friday, February 3 at noon ET to file in the Starke County Clerk’s Office. Candidates can find all paperwork online on Starke County’s website.
The May Primary Municipal Election is May 2.
