The Knox Community School Board approved NEOLA policy updates during their meeting last week.
It was announced several areas concerning the current policies have been updated and put in place.
School Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said this is a normal occurrence with NEOLA. He said policies are always changing and verbage is updated on a yearly basis. A motion was made to approve the updated NEOLA policies. The motion was seconded and voted on unanimously passing the updates.
Formerly known as the North East Ohio Learning Associates, NEOLA initially offered facility studies, population projects, curriculum units and staff development. NEOLA began providing policy service as the client base grew. As more clients came on board, it became apparent that districts needed help staying on top of the new and changing laws and regulations affecting schools. Board policies soon became NEOLA’s sole focus.
