The Starke County Park Board discussed a possible salary increase for the park superintendent when they met last week.
Park Superintendent Tracy Williams was sworn into the position in August of 2022. She started at a salary of $37,500 per year. After the Starke County Council members recently instituted a salary increase of five percent for county employees, the regular low salary for an employee is $41,433 which is well over the superintendent’s pay.
After the board conducted Williams’ work performance review, a motion was made to raise her salary to $41,000 with another performance review in six more months. The motion passed unanimously.
