Firefighters were on the scene of a fire Monday night at Select Furniture on Culver Road in Knox.
Knox-Center Township Fire Chief Kenny Pfost told WKVI News that a passerby reported smoke coming from the building and firefighters arrived on the scene around 6:45 p.m. CT. Firefighters found fire near the sanding area, according to Pfost. He said the fire was quickly extinguished.
There were no injuries reported.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted to determine the origin and cause of the fire as it remains under investigation.
The Knox-Center Township Fire Department was assisted by Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Department, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, Washington Township Fire Department, Koontz Lake-Oregon Township Fire Department, Knox Police Department and Starke County EMS.
