The North Judson Town Council recently accepted a bid from Town and Country for a new project in town.
At a recent meeting, USI Consultants presented the council with two bids for a project to repair storm sewers and pave new sidewalks on the streets of Laurel, Cherry, Walnut and Leslie. The first bid was from Town and Country for $677,226.67. The second bid was from Milestone Contractors North Inc. for $823,007. With a budget for the project set at $686,300, the council voted unanimously by all present to contract with Town and Country, putting them around $9,000 under budget.
Construction could begin sometime around June or July, or sooner if weather cooperates.
