Representatives from Hope Restored Recovery Center appeared before the North Judson Town Council this week to request $15,000 from the town’s Opioid Relief Settlement funds.
The money would be used to purchase a vehicle in order for the organization to better provide for the Home.
Hope Restored Recovery Center is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization in Starke County. The organization is a faith-based recovery center that focuses on helping men who suffer from substance use disorder change their lives through structure and love. They offer a structured schedule, self-help groups, accountability and support, therapeutic programs and drug testing and monitoring.
Hope Restored Recovery Home can house up to ten men, and now currently houses three individuals. The Home provides rides to and from work, as well as other interviews or meetings.
The North Judson Town Council asked the representatives of Hoped Restored to come back to the next meeting with some documentation on the vehicle that is to be purchased and it can be put up for a vote.
The discussion has been tabled until Hope Restored Recovery Home can find a vehicle that meets their needs.
