North Judson Town Council Updated on Mint Festival, Approves Rummage Sale Permit For Kids Closet Ministry

The North Judson Town Council members were reminded that the next public planning meeting for this year’s Mint Festival will be held Thursday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library. Residents are welcome to attend and share any ideas or suggestions.

Currently, there is still no luck in finding a carnival to set up for the festival. An arrangement of bounce houses is now being considered.

The Cooking with Mint contest will be held at Grand Central Perk this year.

The planning committee is now looking for individuals to help coordinate the King/Queen pageant as well as the Mint Darling pageant.

Additionally, Linda Lewandowski from Kids Closet Ministry is now in the process of planning this year’s annual rummage sale at the facility at 4735 W. State Road 10 in North Judson.

Lewandowski appeared before the North Judson Town Council last week seeking a permit to hold the event. The dates planned for the annual rummage sale will be May 4-6 and then the following weekend, May 11-13.

North Judson Town Council member Jane Ellen Felchuk motioned to approve the permit. The motion passed unanimously by all present.

Funds from the rummage sale are used to pay monthly expenses at the Outreach Center.
