Two people were recently arrested following a theft investigation by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division through the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say citizens throughout northern La Porte County started reported various property items stolen several weeks ago which prompted an investigation. Evidence and leads reportedly led to two suspects.
Probable cause was put together in order to arrest suspects 29-year-old Dustin D. Bush and 50-year-old Jeffrey S. Glancy, Sr., according to the report.
Bush was taken into custody Tuesday, March 14 and charged with three counts of theft as a Level 6 Felony. He is being held without bond in the La Porte County Jail. He is being held for authorities in Berrien County, Michigan for an arrest warrant.
Police say Glancy’s whereabouts were unknown for several weeks. A warrant was issued for his arrest for three counts of theft as a Level 6 Felony and a misdemeanor count of theft. Glancy was taken into custody Tuesday, March 28 at a residence in New Carlisle. He remains housed in the La Porte County Jail and is being held without bond. He is also wanted in Berrien County.
