The Food Bank of Northern Indiana Mobile Food Pantry will be in Starke County this week.
Food distributions will be Wednesday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT at the St. Peter Lutheran Church at 810 W. Talmer Avenue in North Judson, Thursday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to noon CT at the Hamlet Lions Club Eat Stand located in the Starke County 4-H Fairgrounds in Hamlet, and Friday, April 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT at HealthLinc at 104 E. Culver Road, Suite 101 in Knox.
Wednesday’s distribution event sponsored by Healthlinc will serve 200 households while the events Thursday sponsored by the Hardesty Memorial Fund through the Starke County Community Foundation and Friday sponsored by Healthlinc will serve 250 households.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged and distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box/bag will be given per household.
Distributions are drive thru. Please remain in the vehicle and open the vehicle’s trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if the trunk does not open.
