Superintendent William Bennett updated the Oregon-Davis School Board on the release of the 2021-2022 Annual Performance Report for Oregon-Davis school systems at a recent school board meeting.
Oregon Davis Elementary, grades K-6, had a total number of 263 students enrolled last year. That was five more students from the previous year, but still down 20 from 2019-2020. They were also able to obtain five more certified teachers putting them at 23.
Based off of I-Learn/I-Step+ test results, Grade 3 students tested well below the State’s average for both Math and Language Arts. Grade 4 tested below average in Math while testing higher than State’s average in Language Arts.
Grade 5 tested below average in Math, Language Arts and Social Science, Grade 6 performed below average in Math, Language Arts and Science.
The Elementary School’s attendance rate reported in at 93.4%, above State average. They also had zero reports of incidences of restraint involving a school resource officer, zero reports of seclusion and zero reports of incidences of seclusion involving a school resource officer for the year.
The Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High School, grades 7-12, reported 215 students in attendance. Mr. Bennett was proud to show the non-waiver grad rate came up from 64.71% number of students graduating without a waiver in 2020-2021 to 91.89% last year. The Jr./Sr. High was also able to obtain eight more certified students putting them at 20.
Based off of the I-Learn/I-Step+ test results Grade 7 students tested below average in Language Arts and well below average in Math.
Grade 8 had 0% of students passing math and only 17.8%of the students passing Language Arts. Grade 10 was just below State’s average in Science at 28.6% and the Language Arts test results were not available.
Grade 11 students were just below the average of meeting the SAT benchmark for evidence-based reading at 41.4% while only 6.9% of 11th grade students meet the SAT benchmark for Math.
The Oregon-Davis High School had a 91.9% graduation rate with 29.4% receiving an Academic Honors Diploma. With 21% of Grade 12 students having taken the SAT tests, the average SAT score was 1010, just under State average.
The State’s A-F accountability grade will not be released until next year’s Annual Performance Report.
