Oregon-Davis Elementary Principal Heather Quinn updated the Oregon-Davis School Board in a recent meeting on a successful Kindergarten Roundup this year.
Oregon-Davis Elementary currently has 48 children attending with 38 more children registered to attend in the Fall. Quinn stated she is fully confident that they will hit the 48 student mark and have a wait list. They already have a wait list for children three years of age.
In Kindergarten, there are 35 students currently registered and 10 children in Pre-K who are technically ready to be moved on to Kindergarten. With more kids coming to Pre-K who are staying at Oregon-Davis, 41 children enrolled is the most the administrators have seen during their tenure.
An evaluator recently assessed whether or not Oregon-Davis meets the standards for Level 3 certification which could lead to more funding. These funds could open up possibilities for a daycare program in the future.
