The Hamlet Town Council members were updated on a timeline for the Starke Street project through the Community Crossing Matching Grants initiative at a recent Hamlet Town Council meeting.
Construction is set to begin Tuesday, May 16 and is anticipated to be complete around June 9.
The whole process consists of the removal of old sidewalks and pavement, and the installation of new sidewalks, asphalt paving, and seeding of new grass.
Also at the meeting, council members made an agreement with Dixon Engineering, Inc. for the inspection of both of the town’s water towers in hopes of getting them back up and running.
