Injuries Sustained in Pulaski County Accident Claims Life of North Judson Man

A North Judson man who was injured in an accident in Pulaski County lost his life due to those injuries the following day. 

Officers from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a two-vehicle accident in the area of U.S. 35 and County Road 700 North in Winamac Tuesday, May 23.  Police say 78-year-old Allen Ludington of North Judson was traveling west on County Road 700 North when he did not stop at the posted stop sign.  When Ludington’s vehicle entered U.S. 35, it struck another vehicle traveling north on U.S. 35, according to the report.

Ludington was airlifted from the scene.  The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Pulaski Memorial Hospital to be treated to his injuries.  The second driver was treated and released from the hospital.  Ludington later passed from his injuries Wednesday, May 24.

The next of kin has been notified.
