The Knox City Police Department will hold golf cart inspections Saturday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT in the rear parking lot of the Police Station at 120 N. Shield Street.
Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith says 2022 golf cart permits expire May 31 and the 2023 permits are now available.
Smith says all golf carts must pass inspection and show current proof of insurance before a permit will be issued. All golf carts must be registered before being driven on city streets. Residents are asked to follow the ordinance regarding the operation of golf carts which is available on the City of Knox’s website. The specific website can be found here.
