The Knox Community School Board approved a contract for dietitian services through the Northern Indiana Education Service Center (NIESC) during their meeting Tuesday.
NIESC is one of nine Educational Service Centers in the State of Indiana. Each center serves a region of Indiana and offers services and products through cooperative efforts throughout the state.
This contract provides the corporation with a registered dietitian that puts together a menu plan to publish menus to school websites, analyze recipes, check menu for compliance, and create production records.
A motion was made to approve the contract. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
