Oregon-Davis Mini Relay for Life Set for May 19

Oregon-Davis students will hold the 18th mini Relay for Life event Friday, May 19.

Students will be raising money and walking during school to join in the fight against cancer.  They will walk for one class period as they learn ways to stay healthy to help prevent cancer.

According to Coordinator Roberta Salyer, the mini Relay for life is an all-day event complete with music, games, door prizes, class banners, and luminary bags decorated by the students in memory or in honor of family and friends with cancer.

The theme this year is Candy Land where “It will be a sweet day when a cure for cancer is found.”

All money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society in the name of Oregon-Davis Schools.
