The White Post Township Fire Department spoke to Council members at a recent Medaryville Town Council meeting seeking approval to purchase two new no parking signs for National Street and the designation of a portion of National Street from Main Street to the alleyway behind the fire station as a fire lane.
No parking signs are already present on the street but are either being ignored or just not visible enough. Cars are parked on the wrong side of the street and facing wrong direction and could cause a problem for fire trucks trying to exit the fire station.
A motion was made and passed unanimously for both the purchase of two no parking street signs and the designation of that portion of National Street as a fire lane.
