A Monticello man lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in the area of County Road 700 South West of County Road 1100 West in Francesville Friday, May 19.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, when emergency services arrived at the scene, officials found a vehicle overturned in a ditch. An investigation reportedly found that the vehicle ran through a dead end road overturning in the ditch. Police say 60-year-old Charles Peters was inside the vehicle and he died due to injuries sustained in the accident. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The next of kin has been notified.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, along with the Francesville Fire Department and Pulaski County EMS.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the accident.
