The Food Bank of Northern Indiana will have mobile food distributions in the area this week.
One distribution will be Thursday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Judson that will serve up to 200 households, and at the La Porte County Fairgrounds Friday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to noon CT that will serve 250 households.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. Food is distributed on a first come, first served basis, and while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. There will be one box or bag per household.
Distributions are drive-thru. Clients are asked to remain in the vehicle and open the trunk of the vehicle to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if the trunk does not open.
