The Pulaski County Republican Party held a caucus Saturday morning to choose a new Republican Party Chairman.
Former Chairman Dan Murphy recently announced his retirement in that position.
A quorum was determined and Kelly Gaumer was the only candidate who filed for the position. A motion was made to suspend the party rules of a vote by secret ballot and Gaumer was selected as the next chairperson.
Maurice Loehmer will be the vice chairman.
