Culver Community School Board Approves Hire of Second School Resource Officer

The Culver Community School Board members took action Monday night to approve the hire of a second School Resource Officer.

Bill Dulin was hired as a School Resource Officer.  He joins Ryleigh Carr in the school’s police department. 

Dulin comes to the school corporation with 20 years of experience in law enforcement. He began his career in law enforcement in 1996 when he was hired as a jailer in Starke County.  He graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1999 and soon became a merit deputy and later a detective with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department.  He was elected as Starke County Sheriff for two terms. 

He recently resigned from his work at the Starke County Sheriff’s Department. His first day at Culver will be September 5. 

He stated that he wants to work closely with the administration, faculty, students and parents to ensure a safe learning environment.
